Prince William withdrew from a memorial ceremony for Greek King Constantine due to a “personal matter,” with Queen Camilla leading the Royal Family. Despite Prince Charles’s absence, there is no cause for concern, with Catherine recovering well from surgery, while Crown Prince Pavlos stood in for William at the event.
A reading was scheduled to take place at the memorial ceremony for the late Greek King Constantine, but Prince William abruptly withdrew.
A “personal matter” was the reason given by Kensington Palace for this.
During the service at Windsor Castle’s St George’s Chapel, Queen Camilla led the members of the Royal Family.
The King couldn’t make it to the service either since he is receiving cancer treatment.

Prince William withdrew from a memorial ceremony
Royal sources have stated there is no need for concern, but no other information is available on the “personal matter” that prevented the Prince of Wales from being present on Tuesday morning.
According to Kensington Palace, Catherine, the spouse of Prince William, is still healing nicely following her stomach surgery that was completed last month.
This morning, the Prince of Wales gave the Greek royal family a call to let them know he would not be able to attend.
There has been a lot of public interest in the royal family’s health this year due to a string of medical headlines, including Catherine’s surgery and the King’s prostate treatment and subsequent cancer diagnosis.

However, the tone set by the palace has been one of certainty rather than undue speculation over Prince William’s abrupt departure.
William’s godfather, the late King Constantine, was honored throughout the event. He passed away the previous year. Instead of Prince William, his eldest son, Crown Prince Pavlos, delivered the reading.
The Dean of Windsor, the Right Reverend Christopher Cocksworth, met the Queen at the Galilee Porch as she was transported from Windsor Castle to the church dating back to the fifteenth century.

The late Duke of Edinburgh’s sailing partner and first cousin once removed, Constantine, was King Charles’s second cousin.
In January of last year, decades after being overthrown from the throne in a military coup, Constantine passed away at the age of 82.
