The Happy Gilmore star, who is married to Jackie Sandler and has two kids, Sunny and Sadie, likened Swift’s rise to fame to “Beatlemania” in the 1960s.

Sandler got the People’s Choice Icon Award in January, but he hilariously mistook it for the title of “Sexiest Man Alive.”

The actor from 50 First Dates claimed he prepared a speech after misheard his representative inform him he was receiving that award rather than the iconic one.

His prepared remark was, “My name is Adam Sandler and I am the sexiest man alive, can I get a hell yeah?”

“I would like to express my gratitude to the members of People Magazine’s academy of hotness and sexual attractiveness for recognizing me as the man who made our entire country the horniest this year and for being the person that couples or throuples talked about the most in the bedroom during fantasy role plays and sloppy time.”
